33,6'4,210.....Ran into a dietary issue of late.....have spent the last 3 years working hard at the big 5 lifts and have seen a lot of progress. Wife likes the fact that I just generally take up more space now and I'm now walking around at 210ish lbs started at a 190ish basketball frame.

A lot of my strength gains and weight gain had been aided by the relentless pursuit of protein I had developed. Long story short, began generally feeling like shit and being very fatigued especially in evenings, went to se DR. and discovered that cholesterol was way too high for someone young and appearing to be in good shape.

Have eliminated red meat the last 3 weeks or so, feeling better but concerned that less protein will have a negative impact on my progress in the future. Is it possible to continue my carniverous ways with Chicken and Fish?

Thanks,

I am concerned that you think the red meat caused your cholesterol elevation, despite much evidence to the contrary. Estimate your previous carb intake for me, all types.

DR told me to cut back on red meat and limit intake of animal fats. Called in a prescrition (zocor?) for me but I'm not ready to go there yet. I want this to end up being some silly DR BS.

It probably is. Carb intake?

In general I'm not a big carb fan...not psycho about it or anything but will go on the occasional no bread, pasta or potatoes stretch. Plus heavy carb type foods don't sit well on my stomach.

I go back 1st week in Nov. to do blood test again......hoping to get something figured out...can't walk into another golden corral and just eat chicken /fish etc....feel my manhood shrinking every time!

Quinn, please count your carb intake in grams, just estimate it, and tell me what of it is sugar.
