Being a monoglot American, I cannot understand the audio. I am assuming the narrator is apologizing for the existence of these people and their "instructors."

This type of "training" is very common at fitness clubs here in Germany and according to wikipedia it is found "in over 70 countries and 10,000 health-clubs and gyms worldwide."
There are other variants called BodyAttack, BodyBalance (BodyFlow), BodyCombat, BodyJam, BodyStep (LMI Step), BodyVive, ...
Reminds me of the collection of "Ab-Things" in Strong Enough (p. 148).

I think our local Y offers a class like that...sad the Y I grew up attending had a weight room where they allowed Deadlifts and Cleans, no more.

I think I saw this advertised on a Gold's Gym website a few months back. Terribly sad.

All that Body*Crap is widely available through memberships in Goodlife here in Canadia. All of it is crap that's really an excuse to get early to mid 20's thin women in tights feel good about themselves vs fat ladies/men and old uncoordinated people. There's a lot of shouting and cheering going on by the trainers during these classes - when they're hot or cute girl next door chicks it's tolerable. No one squats below parallel in those classes - and that's the biggest crime. It's not really a fitness industry so much as an entertainment industry. Kinda like a kindergarten class after a long hard day at work.
