Hi folks,
Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum and say thanks.
I see I am already growing addicted to searching through and reading the posts here. You know there's a problem when you're checking for new threads multiple times daily. Some of the threads are just ****ing hilarious. The best ones undoubtedly involve something along the lines of "Should I take 2 weeks off to let my bruised pinky heal?"...followed by the mandatory newb bashing.
I can't thank Rip enough for SS and PP. I feel like after years of flailing around in the gym, I finally have a blueprint for long term progress. I've completed 23 workouts strictly according to the novice program, and the gains just keep coming. I'm amazed some days when after struggling with squats the previous workout, but the strength just keeps building. I do plan to throw some met-con in eventually, but for now I am singularly focused on establishing a solid strength foundation.
I have also noted that stronger clearly equals healthier and happier! I've had to deal with some back pain which actually feels better since I've been squatting!
Anyways, thanks to you all for sharing your insights and experiences. I plan on doing the same.
