Coach,

Thank you so much for your program! Im a 28 yr old male 5'6". When I started your program 5 weeks ago I was 138lbs. Im now 166lbs(and growing) and am doing well above my 1rm as 5's. My progress so far has been:

Squat: 225lbs(as 1rm) - 275x5x3

Deadlift: 315(as 1rm) - 335x5x1

Shoulder Press: ?? - 105x5x3

Bench Press: ?? - 160x5x3

Power Clean: ?? - 155x5x3

I know these numbers aren't anything spectacular, but I am still proud of them. My goal right now is to be able to complete "King Kong" as Rx'd. What weight would you like to see me at? Also, should I be doing anything different? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

-dave

Great big monkey, climbs buildings, prefers blondes. Or that one heavy WOD.

Coach,

King Kong consists of 3 round for time of:

1 x 455 Deadlift
2 x Muscleups
3 x 250 Squat cleans
4 x Handstand pushups

There is a vid of Josh Everett doing it in an insane amount of time, that would be nice, but for now my goal is to just be able to complete it. Am I shooting too high? or should I say fuck it, who cares if I complete it I'll be a strong bastard even if I get close? Once again, Thank you for your valuable time.

-Dave

Looks like you're going to need a 550 deadlift and a 485 squat at a bodyweight of about 185. Kinda like Josh Everett. You've got to get real fucking strong and grow some more.
