Hi Rip,

I really enjoy doing snatches and was doing them quite frequently before starting strength but started losing too much weight doing a weightlifting program given to me by my coach, so decided to try starting strength for weight gain. I was thinking of competing in weightlifting so i would need start doing snatches and cleans again. Is there anyway that they could be incorporated into the Starting strength program?

The "Starting Strength" program is usually understood to be the novice linear strength progression, into which the Olympic lifts don't fit. If you want to do the lifts, just make sure your program includes enough strength work to make the snatch and the C&J effectively supported.
