I weighed my body last night right before bed (98.0kg), and then I woke up about 6.5 hours later, and before my pee I weighed myself again for fun (97.6Kg)

It wasn't hot so I didn't sweat, and I certainly didn't have a wet dream... I would have thought the body is essentially a closed system during the night.

So where did that 0.4kg go? Can't figure it out.

my stomach bloats with air throughout the day and deflates overnight, that might explain the discrepancy. also if you take several measurements on your scale they're probably not identical, so there is a bit of measurement error involved too.

Air doesn't weigh 0.4kg... also, this is a pretty good scale.

didnt say it weighed 400g, i said it could explain part of it. and i doubt your scales are that good. go take 5 different measurements (reset and par) and post the results

Air doesn't weigh 0.4kg...

0.31m^3 of air at 1bar and 273K does.

Didn't you ever pretend that you were smoking when it was cold outside as a kid? Or pretend to be a dragon on a cold morning? Even though you can't see it, you're exhaling moisture right now. Over a 6.5 hour period, without any intake and depending on how dry it is in your house, you're going to lose some water weight.

.4 kilos is nothing to lose over night its not like your body just shuts down operation over night, You produce heat heat is energy, You body system burns energy over night just in beating its hear, breathing not to mention the healing process is mainly done during sleep. Using calories makes heat, we tamper heat with water. Water is used up body body processes.

again 0.4 kilos is a drop in the bucket. I consistently lose between 2 and 4 kg over night usually most nights right in the middle about 3kg

0.31m^3 of air at 1bar and 273K does.

But it won't show up on scales, it'll displace the same amount and make the body equally bouyant if it's inside.
