Hi coach, i broke my right forearm 2 years ago and its in a cast for 7 months without any major movement.

Now that i've trained for about a year and i can see that my upper body is lacking alot of progress. While weight can be added to squats every session, upper body lifts seems like very difficult to progress. I'm suspecting that it's the lack of thoracic mobility on my right side caused by the movement inhibition of 7 months in a cast. I say this because when setting up for the press and i lift my chest, my left chest is higher and right chest is lower, and i can feel my left back muscles more, and i have to purposely use more energy to lift my right chest for them to be level. Maybe there are some right shoulder issues too but i'm not sure, i can't seems to 'feel' my right upper back muscles well.

Do you recommend i do some extra thoracic mobility work on my right side?

Thanks alot for your time.

I recommend that you press, bench press, and chin with perfect symmetrical technique. This will provide what movement and strength rehab it is still possible to obtain, since it was not properly accomplished when it should have been.
