Hi guys, who listens to podcasts?

I've got 2 1/2 hours worth of train riding each day, so I listen to podcasts all the time.

I first got into them when it was announced Rippetoe was doing interviews. And I've since been hooked.

By far my favourite is IronRadio.org, and we're lucky to have Charles and Phil here (thanks guys).

But I also listen to Super Human Radio and Heavy Muscle Radio.

Iron Radio is right up this forum's alley. For those that don't listen, they've got four guys: Charles (Olympic Weightlifter), Phil (Powerlifter), Robert (Powerlifter/ex-bodybuilder) and Lonnie (Exercise Physiologist/ex-bodybuilder). These guys know their shit and are all old school. The only bad thing is that the shows only come once a week or more. And they have Slayer as their main song.

Super Human Radio comes on a couple of times a week. There's a guy named Carl there, and he's simply a very keen gym/lifting enthusiast. He reads up on lot of studies and papers about new things related to health etc. He's not a scientist or competitive lifter. He has some pretty interesting topics sometimes, but there are some boring ones too.

Heavy Muscle Radio is run by Dave Palumbo, a famous ex-bodybuilder. They've actually got a few different shows. One is Heavy Muscle Radio which caters mostly to professional/competitive bodybuilders. They deal with all the latest contest results etc. But that's not all they do. They get the odd powerlifter and strongman too. I tend to forward through the bodybuilder interviews because they're fucking boring. Another show they have is Off Topic, which is kinda similar to HMR but they ask more interesting stuff, and have more interesting guests sometimes. It's hosted by Carl from Super Human Radio (he has 2 shows). The other show HMR runs is After Hours. This show is basically just a bunch of NY/Jersery/LI guys that get together once a week just basically goof around for an hour. Nothing serious or directly related to training, but it's sort of linked to lifting culture. It's just fucking hilarious. They've got the 'legendary' Jimmy 'the Iron Bull' Pellechia; a guy famous for "benching" over 1000lbs in a t-shirt back in the 90's. Don't get too excited, it was mainly just entertainment and it would in no way pass as a legit lift. He had 3-4 guys spotting him and he didn't touch chest at all. But still, this guy got under 1000lbs. He's probably the funniest guy on the show.

Anyone else listen to any decent podcasts? I'd love to hear some new ones too.

I listen to Podcasts as well. My job involves a fair amount of travel so I often have time to kill while on the road, and Podcasts fill that up nicely. I enjoy Super Human Radio although, like Sami said sometimes there are topics that I skip over. I also listen to Iron Radio, although not as much as SHR. The content is often great stuff, but the audio quality sometimes makes guests it hard to hear.

I have some other shows I listen to as well, but these are the only ones that are strength/training related. I figure if I put enough of 'The Right Info' into my head that sooner or later it will manifest in my results.

Yeah, Iron Radio can be a little hard to listen to for long periods of time, but I've adjusted my EQ to make it as best I can. The thing to remember is the IR is un-sponsored, so they don't have the funds for high-end audio/studio equipment. Also, they're not all in the same geographical location so it's subject to skype/phone quality.

But's not too bad and there are no commercials which is good.
