On December 7th I had a piece of the medial meniscus in my left knee removed. Before that I was progressing nicely no my linear progression and would like to return to lifting as soon as is reasonable and wise.
My physiotherapist has said that I can deadlift again but was more concerned with squatting and has recommenced unweighted half squats along with other strengthening exercises. This is obviously not ideal as I have a reasonable range of motion and can perform full depth air squats although my knee is still a little stiff and does hurt if I accidentally twist it the wrong way. Squatting though causes no pain or discomfort.
At what point would you recommend returning to weighted squats and power cleans?
