What a great time to be a Saints fan. Thanks Bears.

Maybe a good time to be a fan, but I'd be concerned about what I've been seeing from them the last few weeks.

Yeah, the last two losses were harsh. But, the Saints played the worst two games of the season, and only lost by 7 points and 3 points respectively. I think resting our starters for the Carolina game, and having the first week bye will go a long way.

Not playing week 17 and then another week off before the first playoff game... I could see that having an Indianapolis type effect. If I'm Payton, the Saints go for the win in week 17 to regain the lost momentum.

I agree. I've been a Saints fan since the '70s. I've lived through the Archie Manning era, the Bum Phillips era, the brown grocery sack era, the Jim Mora era, Bobby Herbert, etc..and all of the disappointments that went along the way. I have a lot of family from N.O. so that's why I've stuck with them. The early 90's teams were pretty bad assed but they always had San Fran in their division and they always got knocked out in the wildcard games.

I think this season is just their year to finally win. It's the year that they will get all of the lucky tips when they need them and all of the previous 35+ yrs of losing won't matter. Hell, I'm pretty sure the whole NFL want the Saints to win the Superbowl this year. It makes for good tv. Everyone loves a good redemption story.
