View Full Version : Loads for skill work on SS rest days

Coach,
I just started another cycle of the SS Novice program, combined with GOMAD. I am interested in continuing to do some light skill work on my off days, mainly focusing on the snatch. Understanding that you have stated that rest days should be taken as a day to let your body recover, I was wondering what load I should stick with. Right now I can comfortably, and with good form, snatch 155 lbs. Thanks for your time.

You seem to have a poor understanding of the novice progression if you're starting "another cycle". You seem like the kind of guy that needs to buy the book.

You're right coach, I have yet to read your books. Tried to order it directly here to Afghanistan, but had to get it sent to my parents and they're sending it to me here. I am actually a Crossfitter using your program to gain some strength. I do this in 3-4 week cycles. I go with SS, then 3 weeks of MEBB, and back to main site for 3 weeks. Just don't want to stall on my lifts during the program, so was looking for some help.

I'd love to help, but there is too much info to reproduce on this board. Read the books when they get there and then ask me anything you need to.
