Hi,

I've been following the stronglifts internet program for two months for 3 sets of 5 on each lift. The program uses workout to workout linear progession and recommends your books, so I thought I would just start with stronglifts and get SS and PPST for Christmas. Having now read your books, I can see I would have made much better initial gains if I had just bought and followed them right from the start. (Please see stats below.)

So my question is how best to continue now? I was planning to add in the power cleans and just continue with the second, 'somewhat more complicated' workout described on page 106 PPST.

Or would I be better off restarting from scratch with the workout at the bottom of page 105, PPST?

Thanks,
Ben

Stats:
33 years old
6 foot tall
Weight - just over 14 stone (196 pounds) up from 13 stone (182 pounds)

Current lifts for 3 sets of 5, versus when I started 2 months ago:
Squat: 187 pounds (Had never squatted before. My form was horrific the first month, so I restarted a month ago with an empty bar)
Bench - 178 pounds (started 148.5 pounds)
Deadlift - 264 pounds(had never deadlifted before)
Press - 107 pounds (started 66 pounds)

Chins - 10, 10, 9 (take these with a large pinch of salt as not from a full dead hang each rep, which I'll need to correct)
Dips - got up to 15 first set at BW but stopped them a month ago as worried they could interfere with my pressing.
Inverse rows - got to 10 at BW with feet up on a bench. Dropped them as worried they could interfere with chins.

So my workout ended up like this:
A: Squat; Bench; Chin ups
B: Squat; Press; Deadlift

Since I don't really know what the "stronglifts" program involves specifically, I guess I'd suggest you just start with the one in PPST and proceed from there following the program exactly as it is detailed.
