And while the energy generated from this optimism can be of enormous value, it's equally important that your overall plan is sound. Here then, are 7 questions that you can use as you inventory your progress in 2009, and also for engineering an even better plan for 2K10. hey charles.
interesting read. i spotted a few things i've made mistakes with before. i think the article sums up why new rears resolutions are doomed to failiure.

anyway, the point i woukd like address is that of competing. I'm relatively new to strength training (about 3 years training, but wasted time on machine, curl type crap). and probably not ready for competition yet. i have competed most of my life but stopped about 4 years ago, but feel like i need some competition to focus my mind. i love the idea of learnig the olympic lifts the breaking down and perfecting the techiquet really appeals to me.

the question is: am i barking up the wrong tree? you see, i'm 38yrs old and 6'7" and therefore, as your article stated, long levered. it seems i have all the disadvantages for PL and WL.
I don't really know where i'm going with this. suppose i'm just wondering what your thoughts are on how much progress i could make and your experience of training taller lifters?

the plus point i have is that i'm quite a determind, obessive person who would enjoy the effort of perfecting the techniques involved

look forward to hearing your thoughts.
cheers
John
P.S. sorry if it seems like a pointless ramble.
