By far my favorite:

It made the Guinness I had two weeks later taste like water.

What are your favorites?

My favourite lager is ale.

I sense sarcasm!

I'm an ale guy as well. Never had a lager that really blew me away....yet.

My favorite lager is any that tastes like ale. Newcastle Brown Ale to be specific.

Then again, at 150lbs, I'm not an adult-sized male, so what the fuck do I know?

A truly well brewed pilsner is soooo good. Along the same lines, Munich Dunkels, Bocks, and Marzens certainly make my day.

Don't get me wrong, I still prefer most ales to most lagers... I think the problem is that most lagers aren't brewed that well, and ales are like sluts... you can abuse them plenty, but they still deliver the goods.

I dont drink too often but Pale Ale comes above lager.

The only times I have lager is in restaurants where they have things like Peroni, Tiger, Cobra, Hoegaarden etc which are all fairly nice.

But when drinking without food, its nice to have something dark & Flavoursome.

On the rare occasion I actually feel like a lager over, say, a porter or stout, I'll go with a Leinenkugels, Goose Island Honkers Ale, or perhaps something german like a Warsteiner or Bitberger Pils.
