Dear Charles:
I have been experiencing what seems like right leg adductor pain when I started shoving my knees out on squats.
The position (butterfly) and the leg movement in the following video is the one that causes more pain.

Pelvis X-Rays showed soft tissue calcification adjacent to the right acetabular roof possibly ligament related.
Bone density is normal.
Thanks and your comments are appreciated.

Hmm, very difficult to say from a distance although it was smart to include a video- I almost wonder if that might be sartorius...

Wouldn't most of that range of motion be pulled from the hip flexor rather than adductor?

Hi,
i had a similar problem.
My pain was in both adductor areas and it was impossible to squat but also everyday's moves such as put my trousers on caused me pain.
I've soved it in just two sessions with the osteopathic medicine (that is something very similar to treating trigger points). The very first day from the beginning of the session the pain was almost 100% gone! It was unbelievable. Consider that I felt pain for 4 months.
That's all I can tell you to help you.
I hope you'll be good soon.

So what exactly the osteopath did to you?
I wonder if it was something like massage, etc.
Thanks

Hi,
no it's not a massage and a little painful too.
He just presses every single spot in the groin area, where you feel it hurts, he presses deep and without releasing untill the pain slowly goes away.
And it does. Right away.
The treatment lasts about 15-20 min. depending on how's your situation.
The first time it lasted 1 hour. He treated the left side this way, spot after spot (with his fingers like knives) and the the right side.
Then, I did another visit and that's all. I can now squat again.
To tell the truth I'm going today too because I feel a little - very little - "something" on the right upper adductor area and in fact he told me that 2-4 visits were all I needed. But I have to say that I'm just so willing to do Squats again so I'll go!
That's all. I hope that can be helpful for you too.
