Hallo,
I’ve finished a cycle lasted 14 weeks in which I had good gains. I improved all my maxes (gained 5 kg. on Deadlift from 195 to 200, bench from 115 to 120Kg. etc.) but unfortunately, towards the end of the cycle I started to feel a groin pain (that I solved with a good therapist) and a elbow pain (which I’m curing right now).
After some rest for the therapies I don’t know if it should be better to re-star another linear cycle to re-build my strength and maybe pass my previous PR’s or to do something less taxing as it would be a “hypertrophy cycle” you know, something with less load and more sets.
Or maybe yet something like this, maybe training A-B-A. What do you think?
Day A 5x5
Squat
Dead lift
Bench/Press
Chin ups 4x8 or 3xF
Day B Hypertrophy 5x8 (4x10...)
Squat
InclineBench/Press
Db rows
Curl
Abs/Calves
I’d like to have your opinion and precious advices.
To tell the truth my question is also because I’ve always trained with 5’s and lately with triples doubles and singles (which helped me a lot) and I don’t know if maybe it’s time for a break and some pumping muscles routines just to change but at the same time I don’t want to lose my level of strength.
