Hi.
I'd like to learn more about EDT before investing in your book. I read a couple articles on Testosterone Nation where you outlined a two month program using EDT and would at some point like to try it. But it seemed more like a bodybuilding, body part specific program, and I am wondering how it fits in or compliments other programs like SS. For example, would someone doing SS for say 12 weeks, then switch to an EDT program for hypertrophy?
Thanks,
Richard

Richard, the EDT you're probably referring to is a hypertrophy/body comp program (although there is a maximum strength variant as well), so this is completely a goal-dependant decision. If your goal is maximum strength, you should train for it always, otherwise, the gains you make over the 12 week period devoted to maximal strength will erode when you switch to focus on another adaptation.

Thanks. I thought that there might be some variants and that the article I read was geared towards Bodybuilders. I placed a hold at the Library on your book 'Muscle Logic' and look forward to reading it!

Read your book Muscle Logic, didn't see the maximal strength variant you mentioned...where would i look to find out more about it?
Thanks,

Hi,
Read the article and I'm interested. I was looking into '2o rep squat' routines and it seems that what you've outlined would be somewhat similar in terms of mass gains, only more manageable since you'd be managing the fatigue better...or am I way off comparing it to a 2o-rep squat routine?
Anyways, I'd like to give it a shot, but not sure how to incorporate it in with the rest of my training. I'm inclined to move to a 2-day a week program, using the routine you outlined above for squats, and then:
Bench Press 2-3x10
Rows 2-3x15
OH Press 2-3x12
Deadlift or SDL 1x15
This is basically a modified 20-rep squat routine that I found on the internet, only using your parameters for the squat part.
Your comments/ suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Richard
