My current bodyweight is 220Lbs and my max back squat is 150-155kgs, and yesterday I did a fairly hard set of 5 with 130kg.

Waitaminit.

Charles, isn't your best full clean 110 kg or something? And is that a high bar squat you're talking about?

I ask because I recently tested my high bar and got an easy 145 (using kg to stay consistent here) and then a kinda hard 155. I also did a very ugly 90-95 kg power clean not long after that.

Just trying to compare apples to apples. My low bar is way out ahead of my high bar so I don't want to use it to compare clean numbers. I first read your post and was like "whoa, he's cleaning an awfully high percentage of his squat! I really hope that's not low bar otherwise I'm really far behind."

I'm thinking with a 155 high bar squat and 95 power clean, a 110 full clean is within reach with a few months of work (although I'd hope to get stronger in that time and clean even more). Does this look right to you?

When I get back to Baltimore, I want to get some bumpers and start drilling the full and power versions of the quick lifts at home.

It is a high-bar squat, and yes, I am cleaning 106-110 on a 150-155 squat. Actually there is a rough rule of thumb for high level lifters which states that you should be able to clean 80% of your best squat and you should be snatching 80% of your best clean. So Im not really cleaning a terribly high percentage of my squat

My coach told us those rule of thumb percentages when I first began training Oly and I actually found them pretty accurate to my numbers throughout my brief career (although I would not call myself a "high level lifter" whatsoever); PRs of full clean 132/high bar 170 = ~78%, snatch 105/full clean 132 = ~79.5%.
