I asked before about the seminar in Denver but in the end it was too near to my school final exams. Therefore I am about to sign up to the Atlanta seminar instead. However do you know or recommend anywhere nearby to stay, as although I can drive in the Uk, I think you have to be 19 or older to rent a car.
Thanks very much,
Adam Moncrieff-Macmillan
Hi, Adam.
You can search for hotels near the event location online.
Event Location (http://sites.google.com/site/akcrossfitsite/contact-us)
You can click on the "search nearby" link in the info bubble attached to the map, enter "hotels" and it will bring up nearby places.
We haven't made our arrangements yet, so I can't tell you where we'll be. Maybe someone who is local or who is also planning to attend can add something here to help out...

Also, as we get closer, I'll be posting hotel and food suggestions to make sure you and everyone else has a close and affordable place to lay your head and feed your tummy.

Thank you very much for the information. I am just about to book a place on the Atlanta seminar,is there any chance it may get cancelled as my flights will cost $600+ and will be non transferable.Sorry to keep asking questions.
Adam Moncrieff MacMillan
No chance, the seminars are not canceled.
Questions are fine.
Next thing you know we'll be trying to get you to transport items that are hard (or impossible) to ship over...

This is the hotel I found to be close and the least expensive:
La Quinta Inn Atlanta Lenox Buckhead
2535 Chantilly Drive Northeast
Atlanta, GA 30324
Get Directions (http://maps.google.com/maps?near=764+Miami+Circle+Northeast+%23206,+Atlan ta,+GA+30324+%28Atlanta+Kick%29&geocode=CZKXmcs8NRC7FSA8BAIdecD4-iF2HL_ho3xTIw&q=hotels&vps=1&f=li&jsv=230b&sll=33.832209,-84.361825&sspn=0.024954,0.024204)
(404) 321-0999
Now, I don't know if it's walkable for those traveling in; however; we had someone in Denver who taxi'd once to the venue and was able to find plenty of rides to the hotel from the seminar.
Here is the gym's address:
764 Miami Circle Northeast #206
Atlanta, GA 30324

(404) 352-1140
And for those concerned about food...
Trader Joes: 3183 Peachtree NE
Whole Foods: 77 W Paces Ferry Rd NW
Jason’s Deli: 3330 Piedmont Rd NW
Fado Irish Pub: 273 Buckhead
Dante’s Down the Hatch: 3380 Peachtree Rd NE
Lindbergh Plaza: 2581 Piedmont (has many places to eat plus the all important Starbucks!)
If there's anyone else out there familiar with the area, feel free to pipe in with your recommendations.

Thanks very much Jep and all,
The hotel is certainly much more affordable than the others I looked at, or where my mother wanted me to stay. The cost now, by sheer chance is roughly equal to my profit made from my mini business! Now I just have to get my IB grades and I'm all sorted.
Thanks again,
Adam MacMillan (at least I now have my own less embarrassing account name rather than using my friends)
