Anyone have any reasonable easy tuna reciepies? Wife bought a shitload of canned tuna the other day. Looking for any secret tricks or reciepies I can use to scarf this stuff down.
Mixing in with veggies like I currently do is workable, but far from palatable.
How do you all like to prepare tuna?

You have to add quite a bit of fat to make it palatable, IMO.

I usually have it in two ways:
- in a salad (green leaf), together with hard boiled eggs. Drenched in extra virgin olive oil. Before I put the tuna in, I drain all the brine/oil/water from the can, in order not to spoil the taste of the olive oil.
- I boil/steam potatoes, a couple of small onions and some green beans, chop them to my liking in a bowl, then add the tuna (drained, as above) and hard boiled eggs. Again, drenched with oil as above, and a sprinkle of black pepper. It sounds quite stodgy and it actually is, but I love boiled potatoes, and this combo is a favourite of mine.
In both cases, salt as per your normal use.

I've been known to put it with ramen noodles or just mix in mayo and relish for a sandwich.
Mixed into mac-and-cheese.

mix with 1, 2, or 3 of below:
mayo
mustard
sriracha (not sure if this is spelled right, i mean the "asian ketchup", aka hot sauce with a rooster on the bottle) or other hot sauce.
Put the above mix on a sammich or just eat it.

I have gotten the Mediterranean tuna salad from Whole Foods market a few times, and it's really good. Twist on the standard mayo and celery type tuna salad, they seem to use olive oil instead (or maybe olive oil and a little mayo), and use kalamata olives and red onions. It's a hell of a lot tastier than the standard shit your mom used to put on Wonder Bread for your school lunches. Not that there's anything wrong with your mom's tuna salad (double entendre fully intended).

I usually just stir in a good splash of decent olive oil and lemon juice/vinegar, and salt and pepper. Maybe some chopped up onions or torn up jarred jalapenos, depending on how lazy I feel. Makes a good sandwich filling.

Tuna Glop, very yummy and filling.

Tuna Cakes. (http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/tuna-cakes) You can alter the recipe to fit whatever spice profile you like, and wrap them up for portable snacks.

Here's a few simple things that I do.
1. Make a nice mixed salad and just throw the tuna on top with some EVOO and vinegar directly on the tuna.
2. Put tuna on a crispy baguette and drizzle some EVOO on top.
3. A tuna omelet is pretty tasty.

HTFU.
I've never seen it abbreviated, but I assume this is "harden the fuck up"? I like.

I use it like others, make a nice salad throw on tuna, add EVOO, vinegar, some lemon juice, hot sauce or cayanne.
Tuna salad with pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds, and use mustard and some lemon juice, and whatever I have handy to give it a spicy kick.

I usually eat the tuna straight out the can. The only time when I eat tuna is when I've had some shit food so at least a can of tuna makes it a proper meal. My meal after the gym is usually a can of tuna, glass of milk and a bannana to wash it down.

Correct
I lived three years in Italy. The quality of tuna is better, but they also pack it in olive oil. Great protein/fat synthesis, and much tastier, too.
Canned tuna in English-speaking countries sucks eggs.

I usually eat mine with Balsamic Vinegar or Poppyseed Dressing.
I only buy the tuna packed in Olive oil.
then I add 1 FORK.
sometimes when I want to be fancy, I open a tub of cottage cheese, and a tin of tuna and put both in a bowl, then get said FORK and eat.

My favorite 'recipe' for tuna salad is olive oil, mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, brown mustard, salt, pepper, and diced celery. I say 'recipe' because I don't use 'recipes'.
Tuna is actually kinda versatile...last night I just made some pasta, mixed veggies (frozen....corn, carrots, green beans, lima beans)...made a quick rouix with flour and butter, added milk and cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder. Add pasta, tuna, and you have a tasty dinner.

Mate, I would loveee to know what you can fork out with canned tuna. I generally like spicy food, if you can throw some decent quick recipes at me, I'd really appreciate it.

Got to get a good tuna in olive oil. Pastene and Genova are good places to start. Easy on the pocketbook compared to some premium can tuna out there.

Tuna Helper
It's just like Hamburger Helper...but...you guessed it.
I double the tuna that it asks for

This is the link I posted on the first page. It's spicy especially if you add more jalapeno. I like throwing in curry powder and making a double sized batch. Takes maybe half an hour from start to eat. If you hate cilantro you can leave it out or substitute parsley. I eat these instead of cookies for snacks these days.
3 cans (6 ounces each) tuna in olive oil, drained and flaked
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, coarsely chopped, plus sprigs for garnish
1/3 cup plain dry breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 jalapeno chile (ribs and seeds removed), finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup prepared salsa
Directions
In a large bowl, stir together tuna, egg, cilantro, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and jalapeno. Mix gently until ingredients just hold together.
Using a packed 1/3-cup measure of tuna mixture per patty, shape into 8 cakes.
In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium. Working in batches if necessary, cook cakes until golden brown and crisp on the outside, about 2 minutes per side. Serve hot, accompanied by salsa, and garnish with cilantro sprigs.
* if by 'quick' you mean 'something I don't have to cook', you should learn to cook.

Do what I said above with the veggies/pasta (rice would be good) and add srirachi or red pepper. Done.

This reminds me: When I was Paleo (for 3 wks only, mind you), the 1st thing I did was make a batch of similar tuna burgers for the week, while my wife silently watched me. She seemed amused. I was so pleased with myself and excited about this grand paleo experiment. Only after I was done with the whole batch did she remark: "Ya know, bread crumbs aren't really paleo"
