Please add video's and links. We need to educate the newer SS members on the greats of the past.
We all know who he is. There is so little info on this man, I figured I would post some links of the man most of us consider one of the strongest men to ever walk the earth.
In my opinion he is the greatest olympic lifter to ever touch a bar.
I just love how he would throw the bar back down to the ground when he was done a lift, it was also great when he would walk the weight towards the judges till he got a green light :p

I've seen most of those before but... wow... it's just amazing what that guy could move.

I love this video. I show it to anyone who asks me questions about Oly form and I say "Do what he does." It is really the best.

Suleymanoglu gets too little attention in a 70sBig world. Surely the best pound-for-pound lifter of all time, and a really nice guy they say.
I also, of course, think Dimas is one of the all time greats, and not just because of patriotic pride.
And, to get back to admiration of the 70sBig ideal, why is this man spoken of so rarely? I know Pisarenko beat him in competition, but Krastev still has the heaviest snatch ever.

He was huge, unbelievably strong and quick under the bar, and had a mullet hairstyle and a mustache and everything!
All this is not to detract from Pisarenko's awesomeness of course.

I don't know the name, but the guy had a very distinctive style where he started standing, and then dropped, grabbed the bar and came up all in one smooth movement.
Any helpers?

I think the main knock on Krastev was that he outweighed Pisarenko by 100 pounds give or take.
The Pizz was a machine while Krastev was just a big sloppy guy that could move weight. Not to take anything away from him, if you can move the weight...you can move the weight.
I know Pisarenko had done 280kg C&G's in training which is still 14kg higher than current WR and 210kg snatches both with ease. I believe the current WR for the snatch is 213kg although all of us here recognize Krastev 216kg lift as the true WR.

That's correct, by the amazing Hossein Rezazadeh.

Another amazing thing about Naim is his age when he accomplished all this. Olympic and world gold medals as a teenager, I can't imagine the mental toughness that requires. Best sinclair total ever correct?
And I love watching Dimas vids too. The standing O he got at the Athens olympics gave me chills
