How do you know and why? Because the only colony that the Dutch had in Africa was South Africa (and some small area's on the east coast). The Cape Colony, was first Dutch (from 1652 - 1797) and then English. Where is all the information derived that the Dutch were so gruesome in South Africa. When talking about Indonesia you are entirely true, but what makes the argument that the Dutch were so gruesome, then other colonizing forces such as the British, Belgians, French, Spaniards, etc?

Kin, i'm not about to debate the history with you. My statement just comes form talking to a guy I worked with from Ghana when he, the guy from India and myself (half dutch) would have many interesting racial conversations.

It was a rather enlightening experience to work with them and learn about THEIR racial stereotypes. Apparently Indian people think we have an abnormally powerful sense of smell (maybe they should just lay off the curry) :p

My only doubt about that study would be that we probably have a hypersensitivity to making rape claims compared to many other countries. Technically a bum-smack falls under the same catagory as a ruphenol butt-rape in this country.

Likely it is about "reported" or "convicted" rape because we're WAY too close to south africa and that stat shows 0.1% rape rate in south africa as opposed to the 1/3 in the past year as their surveys show.
