Anyone here watch Treme on HBO?

I'm just curious what people outside of New Orleans think about this series.

Me and a couple of Nola buddies were laughing the other day- his comment to me

"man- Im seeing crackheads I used to know from the hood up in there..."

I think it's funny to see all my old peeps wandering across the screen.

What gym you go to down there?

I'm going to Anytime Fitness in Metairie. I'm not sure if there are any true black iron gyms around here.

What part of NOLA are you from?

Hey I lived in Treme and 3rd ward on washington Ave. French Quarter and Bywater-- hell I lived almost every where- not Metarie- I worked out at New Orleans Athletic club- if you ever get the chance to check that place out on the top top floor (this was years ago but I bet its still there) they have the weight room from the 1920s set up- it's beautiful- old timey barbells, some of the very early machines and dumbells- the flooring is wack too- hard to describe- all wood posts packed close together etc. Then theres the smoking room and poker bar. Thats an odd fucking club - but I loved it.
