Mr. Staley,
I've wanted to give your EDT for maximal strength a go but have had a brain fart about how to put it all together for a while. Below is my attempt at doing so. I compete in PL periodically, but my goal is really just general strength for life on the farm. I work out at home and have a barbell and a rack, as well as two 53# KBs. I'm a 44 year old, relatively lean and mean dude. Does the exercise selection look reasonable to you? Thank you in advance, and thank you especially for your recent Occam's razor article.

Monday
1st PR zone (15 minutes) - Back squat ? 15 singles

2nd PR zone (15 minutes) ? Normal EDT parameters, sets of ~5
B1 - Left Step-Up
B2 - Right Step-Up

Tuesday
1st PR zone (15 minutes) Power clean 15 singles

2nd PR zone (15 minutes) - Normal EDT parameters, sets of ~5
B1 - Weighted back extenstions
B2 - Weighted sit up

Thursday
1st PR zone (15 minutes) Push press 15 singles

2nd PR zone (15 minutes) - Normal EDT parameters, sets of ~5
B1 Chin up
B2 BB row

Friday
1st PR zone (15 minutes) Deadlift 15 singles

2nd PR zone (15 minutes) - Normal EDT parameters, sets of ~5
B1 Hanging leg raises
B2 Double KB swings

Bump. Mr. Staley, can you let me know your thoughts on this. Many thanks.

Without knowing more about you, I like this with one possible exception: deadlift frequency. Deads and squats are among the most beneficial movements you can use, but going after both lifts hard in the same week, for any period of time, will burn you to a crisp, especially using EDT.

You might substitute a more recovery friendly drill, such as clean pulls, power snatches, etc, instead of deads on that session.

Incidentally, I phase like the one we're discussing here makes a great peaking cycle following an accumulation phase of linear progression such as the one Rip recommends
