Hello Mr. Staley,

my main background is powerlifting, and with your system I've encountered some strange similarities..
My questions:
(1) what does the density mean for your system from physiological standpoint? I suppose there should be smth here, and it's not only a sort of time management, just doing 5x5 stuff in less time.
(2) Why is it OK to do strength / power stuff with so shorp rest? Doesn't lactate accumulate, thus preventing you from power movements? And what's with the NS recuperation from set to set?
(3) How to you place EDT in comparison with WSB dynamic day? It's also (a) short pauses, (b) nor so many reps in a set (2-3), (c) not going to failure, (d) powerfull movement.
In WSB, smaller weights are used 50-60% 1RM vs 70-75% in EDT.
But what's the "ideological" difference?
