    Coach,

    I have read/purchased both SSBT 2nd Ed.&PPST and have learned a great deal of valuable information from both publications and from countless threads in this forum. For this past month I have been doing a routine that is a hybrid of the ones laid out in both books.

    Mon - SQ, BP/P, Chins
    Wed - SQ, BP/P, Deads/Power Clean
    Fri - SQ, BP/p, Pullups

    I am doing this because I want to do both deads/power cleans and keep my pullup #'s that I obtained through crossfit from slipping (plus pullups are fun).

    Would it be in my best interest to change the routine so Deads and power cleans are done with more frequency(not only twice a month)? Or are the chins and pullups going to interfer with an increased frequency of both dl/pc?

    I was thinking of starting a split of:
    mon chins fri pullups
    A= SQ, BP, Dead/PC
    B= SQ, P , Back ext.

    Or should I stick with what I'm doing until I reach the conditions for advanced novice advancement laid out in ppst?

    Side note: Do you know of any good coaches in Orange County?

    Any reply would be appreciated.

    Your A/B idea sounds good to me. And if you mean Orange Co. CA, there are several good coaches at CF Balboa. If you can get John Welbourn to help you, you'd do well.
